Sunnyvale 的花圃 - Sunnyvale 's Nursery

妹妹的庭院种满了玫瑰，她也喜欢常常逛花圃。那天，阳光普照，我也跟了她去了这间坐落在 Sunnyvale 的Summer Winds 花圃 。

在花圃的入口处，有很多我不认识的花儿，有蓝色，紫色，也有粉红色，煞是好看！

My sister grows a lot of roses in her garden. She always buys flowers from the nursery , too . One fine day , I followed her to Summer Winds Nursery , Sunnyvale.

Once arrived at the nursery , a lot of flowers which are blue , purple and pink in colour, growing by the entrance of the nursery. It was beautiful !

加州，半月湾 - Half Moon Bay, CA

Princeton-by-the-sea

在美国的几天，南上北下的去了几个地方。这一回，我们来到了半月湾（Half Moon Bay) . 半月湾是在三藩市40 km ( 25 miles , south of San Francisco ) 以南的地方。它是以农业 (Agriculture )（尤其是有机农产品, organic produce ），渔业 ( Fishing )和旅游业 ( Tourism ) 为主。

我们去的时候，老天没有一幅好脸色的样子，脸色阴沉沉，而且气温还蛮寒冷的。可能我不习惯那里的天气，把自己裹得像个粽子般。

Miramar Beach

Michael Powers 是位摄影师(photographer ) , 雕刻家(sculptor) 和冒险家（adventurer)。

在1970 年，他为了雕刻艺术，曾经将一条约20尺长(foot-long)，3000磅重( pound )的巨型红木树桐（Huge Redwood Log ) 用船运到　Half Moon Bay 的 Miramar Beach.　他靠机械和其他同行艺术朋友的帮忙，千辛万苦的才将巨型树桐拖到家园。此举让很多人都啧啧称奇。

Kiss It Good Buy 精品店 - Sunnnyvale Downtown

Sunnyvale （森尼韦尔） 是在美国加利福尼亚州，也是矽谷 ( Silicon Valley) 的主要组成城市之一。
雅虎（Yahoo ）的总部 ( headquarter) 也设在这里。

在 Sunnyvale Downtown 的农夫市场两旁的商店，

让我印象最深刻的是这间叫"Kiss It Good Buy "的精品店。

它除了店名特别易记之外，里面卖的小摆设，家私(furniture)，旧照片(old photographs ) ，也有新潮的耳环项链( modern earrings and necklace )，包包（handbags)，还要很多怀旧的物品(nostalgic and sentimental items ) ，让我爱不释手。我和妹妹在这间店里逗留了蛮久的时间。

门外摆了这幅当年美国为了要招募壮丁而印刷的海报。人们也尽管称它为“世界最出名的海报” ( Portrait of Uncle Sam - "The Most Famous Poster in the world ") 。

画家 James Montgomery Flaggs 是个爱国主义者，他画这张海报是为了表示支持美国参与第一次世界大战。 在1917- 1918 ，这张海报就印刷了超过4 百万张 ( This poster were printed over 4 million copies )。

自制酸乳酪- Homemade Yogurt

今天的饭后点心是酸乳酪，苹果和葡萄干。葡萄干是用来平衡青苹果的酸味。 酸乳酪富有维他命B2( riboflavin ，核黄素），B6, B12，蛋白质和钙质。

自制酸乳酪 ( Homemade Yogurt ) :
材料 ( Ingredient) :
(A) 一瓶 150 g　原味 酸乳酪 (1 cup of Natural yogurt / plain yogurt, without any flavour ).
(B ) 1 升　原味低脂鲜奶　( 1 litre low fat fresh milk )
方法 ( Method ) :
1. 将低脂牛奶放在不锈钢锅煮温（大概在　摄氏８２－８５），但别让它煮沸。慢慢搅动牛奶以防它烧焦或粘锅。　 Heat the milk in a stainless steel pot ，until 82-85 C , but not boiling . Stir it slowly to prevent scorching.
2. 再让它降温到　摄氏３２（像给婴儿泡奶的温度），倒进酸乳酪, 搅匀。然后放在温暖的地方８个小时即可（可以放在太阳下晒两个小时）。
Allow the milk to cool in room temperature until 32 C ( or like the temperature for making milk for baby ). Pour in the natural yogurt.
3. 酸酪形成后，就可把它放在玻璃瓶，然后放进冰箱里3个小时再拿出来吃。
When the yogurt is set , pour the yogurt into a bottle ( glass) , keep the yogurt in the refrigerator for 3 hours before serving .

怡保午间的旧街场，是个出名的美食天堂。但是夜晚的旧街场也不赖，夜猫子自然有他们可去的地方，而且是与愈夜愈美丽。出名的怡保旧街场白咖啡，就坐落在此. (Famous Ipoh Old Town White Coffee is situated here.)
